Choose a target
Inspect mercenaries, world nodes, player citadels, and objectives before acting. Read target level, power, ownership, distance, shield state, and the action available to you.
Configure a march
Select a ready hero
A hero already injured, stationed, gathering, or leading another march cannot take a conflicting job.
Add all three troop types
Build a complete formation while staying within march capacity.
Review commitment
Committed troops and heroes are unavailable elsewhere until they return.
Launch and track
Follow the march through outbound, resolution, and return states.
Capacity and slots
March capacity limits the troops in one march. Parallel activity also depends on available march slots, idle heroes, and field-ready troops. A larger capacity does not mean every march should be filled.
Travel speed
Formation, research, the War Chamber, landmark benefits, and march items can affect travel. Speed matters for timing rallies, reinforcements, interception risk, and how quickly committed forces return.
The life of a march
| State | What is happening | What remains committed |
|---|---|---|
| Outbound | The march is travelling to the target | Hero, troops, and march slot |
| Working or assembling | Gathering, objective work, reinforcement, or rally preparation | Assigned force and slot |
| Resolving | Combat or activity result is being recorded | Force remains unavailable |
| Returning | Survivors and rewards travel home | Hero, returning troops, and slot |
| Complete | Report and rewards are available | Returned force becomes available again |
Launch checklist
- Confirm the target type, level, owner, protection state, and distance.
- Use a ready hero whose role matches the activity.
- Stay within march capacity and include a survivable frontline.
- Check whether the troops are needed for defense, another march, or an upcoming rally.
- Compare total travel—not only outbound time—with the value of the target.
- Use Grave Sigils only when the timing change matters.
