Gather the right fragments
Each hero has their own fragment progress. Hero Chests and other game rewards can add fragments to your roster. The Heroes screen shows how many you have and how many more are needed for the next Ascension.
They help unlock heroes you do not yet own and advance heroes already in your roster.
Ascend a hero
Open the hero
Go to Heroes and select the hero you want to advance.
Review fragment progress
The Ascension panel tells you whether the hero is ready or how many more fragments are needed.
Confirm Ascend
When ready, confirm the action. The required fragments are spent and the hero’s Ascension rank increases.
Review skills
Hero skills improve automatically through Ascension, so inspect the skill details after advancing.
Plan your Ascensions
- Prioritize heroes you deploy often or who complete an important march role.
- Check whether a chest choice or Fated Hero selection can support the hero you are currently developing.
- Do not confuse Hero Ascension with Lord Equipment Ascension; they use different items and advance different systems.
Ascension requirements and level caps
| Current stage | Fragments for next stage | Level cap at this stage |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100 | 20 |
| 2 | 200 | 40 |
| 3 | 400 | 60 |
| 4 | 800 | 80 |
| 5 | Maximum stage | 100 |
Where fragments should go
- Finish an unlock when the hero fills a real roster gap.
- Ascend a frequently deployed hero when the next stage also removes a level-cap block.
- Inspect the next skill rank before spending; Ascension improves skills automatically.
- Use focused or Fated chest choices to support one planned target instead of scattering scarce fragments.
- Do not spend based only on rarity—role, availability, and your existing equipment matter.
