Compare nodes
- Resource: choose the shortage you actually need to solve.
- Rarity and yield: higher-looking rewards may also demand more time or risk.
- Duration: consider yield over the full commitment, including travel.
- Danger: hostile occupation and combat can turn gathering into casualties.
- Archive requirement: some operations require Shadow Archive progress.
Dispatch an operation
Select the node
Read its resource, availability, rarity, danger, and duration.
Assign a hero and escort
Both become unavailable for other jobs while committed.
Track the states
The assignment marches out, works on site, returns, and becomes claimable.
Collect and read the report
Confirm what returned and adjust the next assignment.
Occupied nodes
An occupied node may require pressure or an assault. Clear it only when the repeated value of access justifies casualties and the loss of those troops and heroes from other work.
Evaluate a node
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Needed resource | A smaller useful yield can be better than a larger irrelevant one |
| Travel plus work time | Determines how long the hero, escort, and slot stay committed |
| Rarity and danger | Higher opportunity can bring stronger requirements or contest risk |
| Occupation | May turn gathering into combat and casualties |
| Shadow Archive requirement | Can block stronger operations until Research support catches up |
| Return timing | Affects rallies, defense, and later daily-task windows |
Efficient gathering plan
- Identify the resource blocking the next upgrade or Research node.
- Choose the best accessible node whose full commitment fits your schedule.
- Assign only the escort needed for the risk; excess troops have an opportunity cost.
- Align Veiled Harvester equipment or Coven gathering benefits before dispatch.
- Collect the result and compare actual value before repeating the same node type.
