Crafting vs. forging

Forging

Creates a new item through its forge path. You choose the system, set or recipe, slot, and available tier or rarity options before confirming.

Crafting

Creates a defined result from a recipe or matching inputs. Hero recipes use materials and blueprint access; Epic Lord crafting consumes three matching Rare pieces.

Hero Equipment path

  1. Open the Bloodforge.
  2. Choose an exact equipment recipe and eligible tier.
  3. Review Alloy, Bloodiron, Credits, Temper, and blueprint requirements.
  4. Craft and reveal the piece’s quality and secondary traits.
  5. Compare it with equipped regalia before improving or dismantling it.

Lord Equipment path

  1. Choose Sovereign Architect, Blood Marshal, or Veiled Harvester.
  2. Select one of the six equipment slots.
  3. Review Forge Fragment, Blood, and Credit costs.
  4. Forge the item and inspect the result.
  5. For a guaranteed Epic, select three unlocked, unequipped matching Rare pieces and craft them together.

Forge safely

  • Read confirmation screens carefully; spent materials usually cannot be recovered.
  • Lock equipment you plan to keep.
  • Only dismantle unequipped items after comparing them with your active loadouts.
  • Save specialized materials until you have a clear target piece.

Before confirming

  • Verify the hero or Lord system—materials are not interchangeable.
  • Confirm set, slot, tier, rarity, and recipe.
  • Lock pieces that must never become inputs.
  • Compare the cost with the improvement you actually need.
  • Keep event timing in mind when a forge or dismantle action can score.
  • Inspect the finished item before investing enhancement or quality materials.
