How Bond works

You may have one active bonded hero at a time. Only that selected hero gains new Bond progress, and Bond bonuses amplify that hero’s march performance in battle.

One player. One selected hero.

Bond is not a relationship between two heroes. Think of it as your focused investment in the hero who currently carries your banner.

Form or change a Bond

Open Heroes

Choose an owned hero and open the Bond panel.

Select Form Bond

Review the hero, then confirm that this is the hero you want to actively develop.

Earn progress

Continue playing with the selected hero. The Bond panel shows the current level, progress toward the next milestone, and active benefits.

Changing or breaking a Bond

You can switch the active Bond to another owned hero or break the current Bond. All Bond progress already earned by every hero is preserved.

  • After switching, the newly selected hero begins gaining new Bond progress.
  • The previously bonded hero keeps its existing Bond level and progress.
  • With no active Bond, no hero gains new Bond progress or active Bond benefits.

Bond milestones

As Bond grows, milestone details show the benefits granted to that hero’s march. Each hero can also have a signature benefit tied to their identity, such as stronger shields, longer control effects, or improved execution pressure.

Use the milestone view to understand what the next level changes before deciding whether to continue focusing on the same hero.

Bond level requirements

Bond has 20 levels. Progress is cumulative and preserved for each hero even when the active Bond changes.

What Bond improves

Each active Bond level adds to that hero’s march Attack, Defense, and Health, reaching +20% to each at Bond 20. The hero also has a signature effect: Ravencroft emphasizes shield strength, Cassian execution damage, Aurelia Charm chance, Evelyne Curse duration, and Lyssara control duration.

Switching does not erase progress

The old hero keeps all earned Bond points and milestones. Only new progress and active benefits move to the newly selected hero.
